Indications for medications used during CDI. Of the medications used during CDI, most patients receiving antibiotics had an indication, whereas a small percentage of patients did not have an indication. PPIs had a large proportion of cases in which they were not indicated (35%). Patients who received laxatives and loperamide did not have an indication for these medications
